If I know anything about men it's that:
They tend to be more obsessed by things such as cars and ...
They take great pride in being able to fix things.
On occasion I will use these little fun facts to prod a reluctant male into participating in couples therapy with his partner.
(An activity akin to root canal for some).
I ask these big, strong guys if they would think twice about bringing their car to their mechanic if it was in desperate need of repair.
I usually get a resounding "Hell no!"
"Ah, so why are you so reluctant to go to marriage counseling to help repair your most important relationship?"
That usually gets them thinking.
Actually, marriage counseling can be a daunting endeavor for men and women alike. It's not always easy to take that first important step toward getting the help you need for your marriage. But,the right kind of therapy can often make a world of difference in your relationship.
